The sub-niche of Ophthalmic Cosmetic Surgery (Oculoplastics, EyePlastics) involves surgery from the peri-ocular part of the face: eyelids, eyebrows, tear duct and also the orbit (eye socket). Dr. Kratky began his fellowship training in the College of Toronto, the only ASOPRS approved enter in Canada, underneath the tutelage of six ophthalmic cosmetic surgeons, including Drs. Jeffrey J. Hurwitz, Jack Crawford and Martin Kazdan.

His offices are Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and that he also offers rights in the Kingston General Hospital, St. Mary’s from the Lake Hospital and Lennox & Addington General Hospital in Southeastern Ontario.

His practice is restricted to Ophthalmic Cosmetic Surgery and new people are seen by referral only. He holds an instructional position of Affiliate Professor of Ophthalmology and it is the Director from the Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Surgery service at Queen’s College in Kingston, Canada.

TRAINING
- Dr. Kratky attended the College of Ottawa, in Canada, where he acquired a BSc (Hon) undergraduate degree. It was adopted by school of medicine training in the same college, graduating by having an MD degree (cum laude). Then he began an internship (in medicine/surgery), in the Toronto General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, then he signed up for a residency in Ophthalmology in the College of Toronto. He completed his postgraduate training by a long fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Rebuilding Surgery also in the College of Toronto and McMaster College in Hamilton. Since that time he’s been in the school of Queen’s College (Kingston, Canada) school of medicine where he supports the academic rank of Affiliate Professor of Ophthalmology.
- He’s the director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Surgery in the same college and it is a past-president and current person in the advisory board for that Canadian Society of Oculoplastic Surgery (CSOPS). Dr. Kratky has printed numerous scientific papers and it is a regular speaker at conferences, both across the country and worldwide. His practice is fully devoted and restricted to Ophthalmic Cosmetic Surgery and that he is well capable of perform both cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures around the eyelids, lacrimal system and also the orbit. He is another past president from the Medical Staff Association of Kingston hospitals.
