Henry Ford Pharmacy has 26 locations in Metro Detroit serving an assorted patient population. We helped them migrate their web services from the white-colored label product to a different custom site which is used by pharmacy staff and patients. It’s integrated with McKesson’s EnterpriseRx software via McKesson’s API so we built a custom RESTful API for that pharmacy web system which is used by other vendors to provide patients just one login for that website and mobile application. We built a medicine interaction checker along with a system to help keep that updated regularly.
The Individual Portal we built enables patients to refill prescriptions, inquire from the pharmacy staff, view their year finish statements, increase their username and passwords. It has been convenient for purchasers and saves the pharmacy time on the telephone answering questions and cash. The simple online refills allow it to be simpler for purchasers to have their refills promptly and obtain them purchased once they need them. The internet statements reduced the requirement for a typical year finish request from customers that required up a lot of time at tax season. The secure online messages provide a great way for purchasers to inquire about questions about time without sitting on the telephone. This is ideal for non-urgent night time questions.
Other nice touches we’ve put into the website include having the ability to rapidly publish monthly OTC specials in the retail pharmacies, monthly health information (e.g. October is Cancer Of The Breast Awareness Month), along with other sources which help patients. By moving from the white-colored label product to some custom system we’re now in a position to rapidly change and update the website to satisfy the altering requirements of the pharmacy and patients.
