1. Why was the UKEICC created at the begining of 2014 ?
The UKEICC was created for many reasons, which incorporated :
(a) The obvious aim of the UKEICC would be to promote United kingdom and EI contesting, to inspire newcomers and also to help both newcomers and existing contesters to build up their operating and technical skills.
(b) There are many ‘DX’ organisations within the United kingdom and EI (CDXC, GMDX, etc) however the UKEICC may be the only organisation that is 100% HF contest-orientated.
2. Why must I register as part of UKEICC ?
To assist the UKEICC judge the amount of support from inside the United kingdom and EI contesting community. Hopefully you’ll show your support by finishing the simple sign-up procedure to become member. Presently (Marly 2017) we’ve approximately 300 people.
3. Exactly why is VHF/UHF contesting not involved ?
The UKEICC plans to hear its people which means this may change later on, but at this time we feel that there’s inadequate mutual understanding between HF contesting and VHF/UHF contesting for just one organisation to correctly represent each aspect in our hobby.
4. May be the UKEICC website content readily available for everybody to see, or only signed-up people ?
Right now, all the website submissions are readily available for public viewing. It will require a minimum of before the finish of 2017 for most of the menu products online to become fully populated – be patient. We’re approaching numerous United kingdom, EI and worldwide contributors and asking either to lead new materials or let us use their existing materials. The UKEICC would also welcome *your* contributions towards the website, on any HF contesting related subject.
5. What goes on next ?
UKEICC future plans include
(i) Webinars on HF contesting matters
(ii) Training modules that you should attend home
(iii) Online questionnaires about HF contesting matters
(iv) A ‘mini convention’ to go over the UKEICC and HF contesting etc&hellipetc&hellip
6. Why must I join the UKEICC ?
Since you like HF contesting! UKEICC provides contesting sources and all sorts of we ask is you join to ensure that we are able to see as striking the target and supplying what folk want. UKEICC is self-sustaining, but needs plenty of active input in the entire United kingdom and EI contest base.
7. Will the UKEICC run any contests ?
Yes – we run a number of two times-monthly 1-hour 80m contests (SSB+CW) and a pair of United kingdom/EI DX Contests (SSB/CW) every year. We’ve made the decision to not run any Datamodes contests, but this is reviewed periodically. The UKEICC isn’t competing with every other organisation but simply really wants to provide sources and facilities to boost the United kingdom and EI HF contesting experience.
8. What are the intends to introduce a subscription fee ?
No. The UKEICC operates 100% digitally without any additional fees. We’re grateful for that sponsorship caused by Kenwood United kingdom and various individuals for that DX contest Trophies and Plaques – thanks all !
9. Who runs the UKEICC ?
A casual number of HF contesters keen to enhance the United kingdom and EI contesting experience. Presently (Marly 2017) the little but passionate UKEICC team are : Simon M0VKY, Paul EI5DI, Clive GM3POI, Terry G4MKP, Chris GM3WOJ + 3 software experts.
